Best Start in Life Family Hubs – Family Hub Community Volunteer

Do you want to make a real difference for families in your community? We’re looking for friendly, approachable volunteers to help families feel welcome and supported at Northumberland’s Family Hubs.

What you’ll do:

Share information about Family Hubs and local services. Help parents overcome barriers and signpost them to support. Direct families to the Families Information Service for childcare advice. Assist with community events and information sessions. Provide feedback to help improve services for local families.

What we’re looking for:

Someone welcoming, non-judgmental, and passionate about supporting families. Good communication and listening skills. Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
