Make a difference to families in your community
Family Hubs support children, young people, and families by offering welcoming spaces, activities, and services that help communities thrive. We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to support our work and help create positive experiences for local families.
What you’ll do
As a Family Hub Activities Volunteer, you could:
- Support staff during face‑to‑face or virtual sessions
- Help create a welcoming, inclusive environment for families
- Assist with activities and workshops
- Share your own skills and interests (arts, crafts, music, practical skills and more)
- Help plan or support fundraising events
- Act as a community ambassador, promoting the Hub and building local connections
What we’re looking for
- An interest in supporting families and communities
- Friendly, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality
- Willingness to complete training and attend supervision meetings

When & Where
This role is flexible and can fit around your other commitments. Most sessions run during Family Hub opening hours (Monday–Friday 9am - 5pm), with occasional opportunities to support special events in evenings or weekends.
