About the Opportunity:
Blyth Town Council offers a year-round programme of free, family-friendly events, and our Annual Firework Display is one of the most anticipated highlights of the year!
To ensure the local community site is clean, safe, and restored right after the celebration, we are looking for friendly Action Team volunteers to join us for a post-event litter pick on Sunday, 1st November.
What you’ll be doing:
- Joining a supportive team to clear litter across the main event site.
- Helping keep local green spaces clean and safe for residents and wildlife.
Key Information:
- Meeting Point: Dave Stephens Centre, Blyth Beach
- What to wear/bring: Warm, comfortable clothing, waterproofs, and sensible walking shoes/boots. All litter-picking equipment and bags will be provided on-site.
- Skills Required: None! A quick 5-minute safety briefing will be given before we start.

- Keeping an eye on your inbox for our upcoming event and new role broadcasts.
- Browsing and booking onto our free volunteer training sessions.
- Stepping up to help out at local community events only when your schedule allows.
Next Steps: Once you click apply, you will be asked to complete your short Volunteer Passport on the Assemble platform.
